Free Checked Bag with a Delta SkyMiles Credit Card

Regardless of what class ticket you purchase, the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express now lets you check your first bag for free.

Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express announced a new cardmember benefit starting June 1. Gold, Platinum, or Reserve card holders will will automatically receive a first checked bag fee waiver upon check-in for all Delta and Delta Connection flights. Up to eight travel companions within a reservation receive this perk.

This will allow you to save up to $50 on a round-trip ticket or $200 for a family of four.

First and Business Class passengers, SkyMiles Medallion members, and passengers with a confirmed Full Y Class Economy ticket may continue to check up to two bags at no charge.
